I FIND MYSELF IN TWO WORLDS

I Find myself living in two worlds. The first world is where everyone else exists. My family, my friends, my work colleagues; where the media tells me what's going on and it seems real enough to me and yet when I go within all these things, all these people, all these events, all move out of focus and there is within my heart a very different world.

In this other world there is just me, I am the center, and the focus, and at times I feel like the supreme being. I certainly feel a connection to the divine, which for me, makes more sense of me being here than any other thing, that the outside world tells me. I have contemplated this world, many times, many hours, over many years and here are some of my conclusions.

I subscribe to the theory of The Duality, that here in the outside world, that I perceive there is: an up and down,  an inside and an outside, and right and the wrong. I have also observed that this outside world duality, is the cause of the much friction and unpleasantness, of dog eat dog, of hatred, of possessions, and anger, and fear. For the inner me, this is all anathema!

Recently, I concluded that the duality is a game that we are all playing and the aim of the game is to return to Source. That here we are in the duality believing we are alone, and yet it is not so, for we are not separated, we are all one! "So, how do I win this game?" I hear you say.

If this was the board in the game of Ludo, the aim of the game would be to get around the board, and to get into that home straight, to shake the dice to get to that exact place of rest with all four counters. When all four pieces are in that space, you've won the game!

The equivalent in the life of duality is when you come to realize that, the duality doesn't exist, that you are moving your counter or counters, as you have different roles in life, don't you? You are the family member. You are the husband or the wife. Your the father or the mother. You are the colleague at work. You are the friend. You're the neighbor. When you realize that all these roles that you're playing can only make full and complete sense when you reunite your essence with the oneness, that's then you win the game and you are free!

The Bible called this being born again. Born from above, when you have not just had a birth of the flesh but of the spirit! When you come to the conclusion: that, true reality is within. That, you are "The One." That each one of us is an individuation of the oneness, that each and every one of us are the supreme being in human form.

Being born again, or transcending, or being aware that the inner world is much more important than the outer world. Coming to a place where you can bring your focus into the inner world, when all the distractions of the outer world fall away, you win the game and you are at peace, at rest.

And yet when you come to this place of rest, that's not the end of your life. It's just when you win the game of life! Then you have to return to the duality from a place of equilibrium, a place of being centred and of peace, and from that moment it's much easier, not completely easier, but much easier, to play the game of life when you realise it's a game, that you've already won.
