of "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" and the other Narnian tales wrote many other books, among them is an allegory called "The Great Divorce" and it's easily one of the top ten books I recommend. Lewis says of the book "Dante wrote of the marriage of heaven and hell I have written of their divorce!"

A lot is being said and written within my awareness at the moment, that there is about to be some kind of separation of human life on Planet Earth, that the human race is about to be split into two realities. These words echo what I was taught back in my Bible Student days, about what the New Testament calls the rapture.

Having been an adult for fifty years, I am aware of a deterioration of the way things are in the human world and it is my belief that there is a far better way to live than this. Fifty years ago I believed that the rapture was likely to happen at any moment; today I'm not sure what I think about the two earths teaching, but I have a question.

If given a choice of continuing to live on the "old earth" or the split off "new earth" where would you want to be? Would you want to remain and seek to fix the problems encountered here or would you want to join those on the spiritual path? Although no such choice may exist, it is true that our choices separate us from different endings.

The trouble with division is that it detaches us from each other, and yet Jesus talks about the seperation of the wheat and the chaff at the end of time. If we are in what the Bible calls "the end of days" my destination has never been in doubt. My choice would be to remain on the spiritual path. How about you, dear reader?
