THE USE OF OUR FAITH

THE USE OF OUR FAITH

People talk about a person's faith like it represents the religion they adhere to. He's of the Christian faith, that man is an atheist, he doesn't have a faith; and yet everyone has faith! The truth is that faith is the way we navigate our lives on planet Earth! Without faith we wouldn't walk across the room and sit down on the chair at the other end, for fear the floor or the chair won't support our weight.

The question therefore must be how do we gain and then use our faith? Maybe in our example of walking across the room and sitting in the chair we put our faith in watching if the floor and chair support others first. Alternatively we could put our faith in the designers of the building and the chair and the people that constructed them. There is another way of using our faith, and that is to use our intuition.

I illustrate the way our faith can be used by both physical and intuitive observations or by putting faith in other human beings. The basis of our reality I would suggest should be based from the inside out, not the outside in. If we rely on what we are told, the information we are given could be mistaken, or deliberately given to us to mislead us. In this way I believe those who don't have our best interests at heart can and do use our faith against us.

I believe that faith is the most powerful faculty each one of us possesses! In the New Testament in the book of Hebrews we read about all the amazing things the characters of the Old Testament achieved "BY FAITH!" The possibility that our own faith can be used against us, is a very disturbing thought and yet if I am correct it is surely well worth giving this idea some attention, isn't it?

I was once told that history is always written by the victors, and that if Adolf Hitler had succeeded in forming his thousand year (third) Reich, we would all have a different view of the Second World War. The mainstream media today, I believe are already attempting to write the history of our times on a daily basis. They don't just tell us the news, they put their own slant on it and suggest we believe their editorial view of the world.

In effect, the UK mainstream media and those who own it (usually people who don't live in our country or pay tax here) have power over us and even influence our politicians. Is anyone old enough to remember the headline the morning after Tony Blair was elected to the office of Prime Minister "It was The Sun wot won it!" This headline suggests that the newspaper editors believed they had influenced enough people to change the UK government!

I'm sure you heard it said "You shouldn't believe all you read!" it's true, you really shouldn't! Remember what I said earlier, faith should be demonstrated outwards from you to the world, not inwards from the world to you! If you get this the wrong way round I believe it is tantamount to having your faith used against you! I'm sure you would prefer to make use of your own faculties rather than having them used against you?

You must judge this for yourself, but I am clearly of the opinion that your faith and mine is the most powerful ability we possess and that it shouldn't be used to add any weight to political, economic or religious ideas outside of us, that are not to our benefit. Our faith should be placed in ourselves! I believe everything any one of us has ever desired to do is possible for each one of us, if we put our faith in believing in ourselves.

It's time to take our faith back! It's time to use our faith from the inside out, to dare to do the things others (who shouldn't be expected to have faith in anyone other than themselves) don't believe we can do. It's time for us to create, to stop holding back our genius, and to do the magic we were sent here to do, so that we can take our place in the pantheon of the heroes of faith, who have lived before us and whose names are known.
