THE LAND OF REAL EYES (Poem)

THE LAND OF REAL EYES
231118 be

This all ends in silence
In a quietness and peace
A day will come
When you and I will lay at rest
Nothing to say

All that was said and done by us
Either a memory or forgotten
The memories of us a whisper
In the minds and hearts
Of those who loved us

Enter the land of real eyes
Just for a moment
Think of a time when breath
Is gone from your body
What will remain of your essence

Today, we should use our words wisely
To make our existence meaningful
For those left behind, to consider
When were gone what was important to us
To leave them in no doubt

The silence beckons
Be at peace with that
But, in the meanwhile
In this land of real eyes
Speak out your wisdom
