EXPANDING AWARENESS

I'm on a journey of expanding awareness
I don't know if I picked it, or it picked me
I am a seeker, I am one who is intrigued
Fascination is my middle name

As these recent years have sped me by
I've opened my mind and my heart
To new possibilities, well new to me
So I can grow and become more conscious

So much new information yesterday
New perceptions, new voices, new vistas
We all love to be told of different worlds
Like CS Lewis's "Wood between the worlds"

Each story that implants itself into our beings
Adds depth to our souls, makes us larger
Those who open up space within our imagination
Do us all a great service of joy

New possibilities arise as our awareness expands
To be alive is to grow and yet many merely exist
I expand into the stillness, the silence, the void
Until I fill the multiverse and beyond with myself
Or I am filled by it

I am aware that my belief doesn't make it true
Yet today I have believed that I won't lose me
When I step into eternity, I will be more me
I will remember forgotten parts of me
And expand back into all of who I am

I am reassured, because I had concluded
That my personality would be absorbed
Absorbed into divinity,
That I would become a memory
Now I believe my journey of expanding awareness
