Imperceptibly it has its beginning
In the deepest darkest part of the night
It is the moment when the most time has passed
Since the last glimmer of the daylight's hope expired

The wind changes direction, you can hear it
The rustling of leaves, a solitary bird sings
A hazy shadow appears where darkness was
Blink and you'll be convinced it's not really there

And yet it is coming, with such certainty
With vibrancy and warming shining brightness
Not yet, first you must reach forward with faith
You must believe what your eyes can't see

Dawn is on its way, nothing can stop it
Night will be swallowed up in light's victory dance
Once more darkness will be vanquished
Light will always win, dawn drives the devil away

Evil, pain and injustice must bow to the light
The song of the birds, the Dawn chorus
Is about to begin, but before they sing - look
See the beautiful colours, see the victory dance

Light has its message of promise to bring
Before the fullness of the new day appears
The dawn enlightens our hearts, we respond
We know that light is love personified
